The story of
Zagreb's first horse-drawn tram line opened in 1891, with the network electrified in 1910. Today ZET operates 15 daytime and 4 nighttime tram lines over roughly 116 km of metre-gauge track, alongside the city's bus network, making trams the backbone of public transport in the Croatian capital.
