The story of

TECO Line Streetcar

The TECO Line Streetcar opened in October 2002, reviving streetcar service along a route once served by Tampa's original electric trolley network, which ran from 1892 until 1946. Sponsored by and named for Tampa Electric Company (TECO), the line uses replica heritage trolley cars to connect Ybor City, the Channelside District, and downtown Tampa. It is operated by the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART).
