Tallinn's tram network is one of the oldest in the Baltics, complementing the city's extensive trolleybus and bus network across the Estonian capital.
The story of
Trams have run in Tallinn since 1888 (horse-drawn), electrified in 1925. The network today is operated as part of Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS, the city's public transport authority, which also runs Tallinn's buses and trolleybuses. Public transport has been free for registered Tallinn residents since 2013.
