The story of
Trams have connected the industrial cities of Upper Silesia since 1894, growing into a dense interurban network unique in Poland for linking entire cities together rather than serving a single municipality. Today Tramwaje ÅšlÄ…skie operates the network under the umbrella of ZTM/GZM, the metropolitan transport authority coordinating public transit across the region's 41 municipalities.
