ONCF (Office National des Chemins de Fer) is Morocco's national rail operator, running the Al Boraq high-speed line between Tangier and Casablanca alongside Al Atlas intercity and TNR suburban services.
The story of
ONCF was established in 1963 to operate Morocco's national rail network, inherited from the French and Spanish colonial-era railway companies. In 2018 it launched Al Boraq, Africa's first and only true high-speed rail line, running at up to 320 km/h between Tangier and Casablanca via Rabat and Kénitra. ONCF's Al Atlas intercity services extend the network further to Marrakech, Fès, Oujda, and El Jadida, while TNR suburban trains serve the dense Casablanca-Rabat-Kénitra corridor.
