NSW TrainLink was established in 2013, taking over regional and intercity rail and coach services previously run as CountryLink. It operates seven regional rail lines radiating from Sydney — Hunter, North Coast, North Western, Central Western, South Western, and Southern — using Xplorer and XPT diesel railcars, alongside a connecting regional coach network.
