HŽ Putnički prijevoz (HŽPP) is Croatia's national passenger rail operator, running intercity, regional, and suburban trains across the country's rail network.
The story of
HŽPP was established on 20 July 2006 when it split from Croatian Railways (Hrvatske željeznice), separating passenger operations from infrastructure management in line with EU directive 91/440 ahead of Croatia's EU accession. It now operates over the roughly 2,600km network maintained by HŽ Infrastruktura, connecting Zagreb with the country's other major cities and international destinations.
