Flytoget is the high-speed Airport Express Train connecting Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Oslo Central Station, with some services extending to Drammen.
The story of
Construction on the dedicated Gardermoen Line began in 1994, and Flytoget started high-speed service alongside the airport's opening on October 8, 1998, reaching full capacity through the Romerike Tunnel in 1999. The line covers roughly 48 kilometers between Oslo S and Gardermoen, with the journey taking as little as 19 minutes at speeds up to 210 km/h. Some services extend west to Drammen via Lysaker and Sandvika, and the fleet is made up of GMB Class 71 electric trains built specifically for the route.
