The story of

Denton County Transportation Authority

DCTA was created in 2002 after Denton County voters approved its formation under Texas House Bill 3323. The A-train commuter rail line opened on June 20, 2011, running 21 miles between Denton and Carrollton, where it connects to DART's Green Line at Trinity Mills Station. The line serves six stations across Denton, Lewisville, and Carrollton, providing a regional rail link into the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
