The story of
The Hartford Line launched in 2018, restoring frequent passenger service along the historic New Haven–Hartford–Springfield rail corridor after decades of limited Amtrak-only service. CTDOT owns the Connecticut portion of the line and contracts operations to Amtrak, with service extending north into Massachusetts to Springfield.
