Do you show freight trains?

No — trains.fyi shows passenger rail only.

Freight operators in North America don't publish a real-time feed of train positions. The only data approximating it is signals data, which is hacked together from open sources and only gives rough block-level positions, not exact GPS coordinates. The engineering effort to map and maintain that doesn't justify the result.

If freight ever becomes available through a clean, reliable feed, we'll consider it. Until then, the focus is on making passenger rail tracking as good as possible.
