TransWA is the regional public transport service of Western Australia, operating long-distance rail and coach services connecting Perth to regional centres.
The story of
TransWA operates three rail services from East Perth: the Prospector to Kalgoorlie-Boulder (since 1971), the Australind to Bunbury (since 1947), and the AvonLink and MerredinLink commuter services to the Wheatbelt region. The Prospector covers 653 km in approximately 7 hours, making it one of Australia's longest-running regional rail services.
