The story of

Sydney Light Rail

Sydney's original tram network was dismantled in 1961. Light rail returned in 1997 with the L1 Dulwich Hill Line, extended in 2000 and 2014. The L2 Randwick Line opened in December 2019, followed by the L3 Kingsford Line in April 2020, forming the CBD and South East Light Rail.
