The story of
MTR Express (branded as MTRX) is a Swedish open-access train operator owned by Hong Kong's MTR Corporation. Launched in 2015, it was the first company to compete directly with SJ on the lucrative Stockholm–Gothenburg corridor, Sweden's busiest rail route. MTRX operates modern Stadler FLIRT trains offering a premium service with Wi-Fi, power outlets, and onboard catering. The 3-hour journey between Sweden's two largest cities has made MTRX a popular choice for business and leisure travelers.
