The story of

WeGo Star

The Music City Star, now branded as WeGo Star, began service in September 2006 as Middle Tennessee's first commuter rail line. It operates on a 32-mile corridor from Lebanon to downtown Nashville, running along existing CSX freight rail tracks. The service was developed by the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee to provide an alternative to the congested I-40 corridor. It serves seven stations and primarily caters to weekday commuters with morning inbound and evening outbound service.
