Maryland Metro
A real-time map of trains in Baltimore that updates every minute.
The story of
Baltimore's Metro SubwayLink opened in 1983 as the Baltimore Metro, connecting downtown Baltimore to Reisterstown Plaza. The system was extended to Owings Mills in 1987 and to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1995. As Baltimore's only rapid transit line, it serves as a crucial north-south transportation corridor, connecting the suburbs to downtown Baltimore and major institutions like Johns Hopkins Hospital. The system is part of the Maryland Transit Administration's integrated transit network, which includes light rail, buses, and commuter rail services.
